We recently moved to the area and have been trying different places. If we had known the quality of the meal ahead, we would not have stayed. This was posted at the front so it wasn’t something we weren’t aware of. In addition to the meal cost, there was a 3% tourist area charge. I had planned on trying another cocktail but he never asked if I would have liked another drink. It wasn’t a bad meal but felt it was lacking compared to the price. The shrimp and scallops were of good size but everything fried tasted the same. He ordered the blackened grouper sandwich and said it was good. I tried the Harry Cane cocktail and it was quite good! My husband ordered bottle beer because they had none on tap. He took our drink order and then someone else finally came over to get our dinner order. Once seated, our server greeted us and he was friendly. We were the 3rd party in line and she had no sense of urgency whatsoever and everyone noticed. She never smiled, barely spoke and moved at a snail’s pace. We arrived and the hostess seemed as though she would prefer to be anywhere else. Now my Gumbo was epic, crab,shrimp, Andouille sausage rice Holy Trinity Gumbo was a flavor explosion made me miss the bayou and I've haven't visited yet? Deliciousness overload all I can say is Go!!!!! This place is legit.We were excited to try this local establishment. Wait what! The clam chowder was garnished scallions and bacon win win out the blocks! My wife complimented the dressing on the Caesar salad! No words and we're of on this food excursion the came the Salmon She Crab Soup who does this? They do it so well the wife made sure the bowl had no remnants left she replied 5 stars. We went inside and was greeted and seated in a booth almost immediately full of joyful ambient noise of satisfied patrons we gazed at the menu and then made our order clam chowder Holy Gumbo and the She Crab Salmon with a Caesar side salad. The scene of this food massacre was on a Thursday night that me and my best half had to try this well respected well reviewed establishment for ourselves, we realized that by the amount of cars in the huge lot that the locals frequent this place. an island favorite cuban pork, salami, tomato, onions, swiss cheese, served on grilled rye 12.95. with swiss cheese and grilled onion on grilled rye. Overall, just amazing and we will come back!!! Buttery crust with the tangy flavor of the lime. Oh and to end the meal with something sweet, we had to order Larry's slice of key lime pie. Fresh oysters in such delectable sauce mixed in with bacon, and moist potatoes rounds. Oh my goodness my heart says my cholesterol is rising with every creamy bite I take. No fillers guys all fresh crab meat and great! The tartar sauce was on the side, and the mashed potatoes were good. Ok don't judge me guys, but I ate his too! He wasn't feeling well, and this could not go to waste. For my better half it was the crab cake sandwich with a side of mashed potato. The pictures does not do it justice, but I promise you it's crispy, battered, and just the right amount of sweet potato meat. Larry does offer sides that will not disappoint IMO. The soft potatoes, and topping of crushed bacon in my clam chowder elevated my food dance lol.įor takeaway, I opted for the mahi mahi tacos which came with mango salsa, honey cilantro sauce, and fried jalapeño. I hate to be redundant, but it was fresh, and the cream in both bowls were absolutely delightful. I would recommend the bowl for the she crab soup and clamp chowder. They are fresh, plump, sweet, and great with melted butter for dipping. A pound of Steamed shrimp for the price of a half pound of shrimp is a great deal on Thursdays. Harpoon Larry's offers specials on certain days, so check them out online. The restaurant is spacious and clean with wooden booths. I've eaten here with a friend, and have also ordered takeout.
